19th century Renaissance Revival tantalus-style box crafted in black lacquer and featuring beautifully detailed depictions of royalty on the twin front doors. The colorful figural panels portray a king and queen in regal attire, framed by decorative gilt borders and complemented by brass-tone hardware. Raised on a shaped base, the piece reflects the ornate craftsmanship and historical romanticism popular during the Victorian era.
