The larger pipe is constructed from crackle-glazed ge-type porcelain in a cylindrical, stepped form meant to mimic a stalk of bamboo. It is decorated in underglaze blue with a landscape depicting pine trees and rocks, complemented by hand-painted poetic script on the reverse. It retains its long metal pipe stem, removable oil pot lid attached by a fine chain, and a butterfly-shaped metal accent on the rim. A visible hairline fracture is present along the upper stepped tier.
The smaller pipe features a hexagonal porcelain body supported by a footed white base. The panels are finely hand-painted with green enameled floral motifs, bamboo, and calligraphic text panels framed by classic blue and white geometric borders. It is fitted with an incised dark metal collar, a hinged overhead wire handle, a chained cleaning pin tool, and a curved metal pipe stem.
