This sculptural studio pottery vessel features a highly experimental, tiered construction. The mid-section is characterized by a bulbous form pierced by triangular cutouts and partially enveloped by a thick, slanted collar. The upper neck flares into a cylindrical mouth, while the base transitions into a flared, footed pedestal. The glaze application creates a dramatic contrast, with a matte forest green finish on the upper elements and a rich, iron-saturated amber-brown glaze on the lower half that highlights the tactile, gritty texture of the clay body.
