Vintage poster designed by Allan D’Arcangelo (American, 1930–1998), created for the Lincoln Center Festival in New York City. Commissioned by Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts as part of the List Art Poster series, this bold graphic composition reflects D’Arcangelo’s signature style, incorporating geometric forms, road-sign motifs, and high-contrast color blocking.
The design features a central “68” motif with directional arrow imagery and stylized signage elements, along with references to festival programming including opera, dance, theater, film, and music. The lower margin includes printed credit noting the Lincoln Center commission and 1968 production.
