A traditional West African Guro tribal wooden heddle pulley used in textile weaving, featuring a hand-carved figural finial at the top. The finial depicts a stylized human head with fine geometric scarification marks carved on the face, an elaborate coiffure, and a deep brown aged patina. Below the carved figure, the u-shaped pulley frame houses a functional wooden roller axis. Suspended directly from the pulley mechanism is an integrated partial loom setup with a collection of natural warp threads, partially woven textile sections utilizing green, yellow, and pink vibrant yarn, and dangling tension weights or sticks at the base.
