This exquisite antique Chinese cloisonné enamel tea caddy features a classic cylindrical form with a snugly fitting matching lid. The entire exterior surface is meticulously decorated in the vibrant Mille Fleurs or thousand flowers style. A dense arrangement of hand-enameled multicolored blossoms including peonies, chrysanthemums, and lotuses spreads across a vivid green ground. Fine brass wire cloisons outline each individual petal and leaf, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic period. Condition Report
The tea caddy is in very good antique condition consistent with age and use. There are minor superficial surface scratches and expected light patina to the exposed brass elements. The enamel remains vibrant with no major chips, structural cracks, or significant losses to the wirework.
