Presented here is an antique brass and leather-wrapped monocular telescope manufactured by the renowned optical instrument maker J. H. Steward Ltd., London. This finely crafted 15-inch scope features multiple engraved calibration bands marked 1–6, offering adjustable focus, along with clear manufacturer markings:
“J. H. Steward & Co Ltd, London, 5, 67” and “573.B”.

The body is wrapped in stitched brown leather, providing both grip and a classic period aesthetic. The brass construction has aged to a rich patina consistent with early 20th-century field optical instruments. This model was commonly used by military officers, surveyors, and maritime navigators, making it a collectible piece of British optical history.

A well-preserved example with functional focus movement. Measures 15 inches long with a 2.5-inch diameter.

Good antique condition. Brass shows expected patina from age. Leather wrapping intact with minor surface wear. Engravings are legible. Optics appear intact; functional focusing movement, though clarity may reflect age. No major dents or structural damage observed.
