Detailed Auction Description

  • Technique: Cloisonné enamel over a copper or brass body. The design is created by applying thin metal wires (cloisons) to form compartments, which are then filled with colored enamel pastes and fired.
  • Design & Ornamentation:
    • The body features a series of elongated, shield-shaped chevron panels or medallions.
    • These panels are intricately decorated with traditional motifs including a Phoenix birdfloral blooms, and foliate scrolls.
    • The neck and shoulders are adorned with repeating geometric and floral bands.
