An exquisite turn-of-the-century French Limoges porcelain pitcher, masterfully hand-painted with a vibrant botanical display. The vessel features large, luminous yellow orchids in full bloom, accented by delicate buds and winding vines. The artistry is set against a sophisticated ombré background that transitions from a soft cream at the rim to a deep, earthy cocoa brown at the base.
The pitcher boasts a striking Art Nouveau silhouette, highlighted by a heavily gilded, sculptural handle with ornate scrollwork and a textured "honeycomb" or "dimpled" grip. The rim and spout are finished with sponged gold gilding, adding a touch of Victorian opulence.
The underside bears the green T&V (Tressemann & Vogt) France underglaze factory mark, used between 1892 and 1907. It is also signed by the artist, K. Bremer, whose name appears on a vintage collector’s label alongside the inventory number 2117.
Dimensions: Height: 9 in | Length: 5 in | Width: 4 in
Condition: Excellent antique condition. The porcelain is free of chips or cracks; the hand-painted floral motifs remain vibrant with minimal wear to the heavy gold gilding.
