  • The battle is notable for its brevity, lasting only 30 minutes. 
  • The USS Constitution, also known as "Old Ironsides," was one of the six original frigates authorized by Congress in 1794. 
  • The ship is currently berthed in the Charlestown Navy Yard in Boston, Massachusetts, and is the sole survivor of the original six frigates.
