An intricate Italian Capodimonte porcelain trinket box modeled in the form of an ornate, rococo-style horse-drawn carriage. The piece features heavily detailed openwork scrolling, floral garlands, and gold gilt accents along the frame and wheels. The back panel displays a hand-painted classical relief scene depicting a courting couple in a landscape, while the removable lid is adorned with molded cherubs/putti holding floral wreaths. The interior is finished in a contrasting deep rose pink glaze. Marked on the underside in gold script "Capodimonte Italy 572".
