This hand-carved jadeite figure depicts Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, standing in a serene pose atop a lotus base. The figure is captured holding a ruyi scepter and a mala (prayer beads), dressed in flowing traditional robes with a delicate pierced mandorla (halo) behind the head. The stone displays a pale celadon green body with vibrant emerald green "moss-in-snow" inclusions throughout. The piece is accompanied by a custom-carved dark wood base with openwork scrolling.
