This narrow rectangular bench features a solid elmwood seat with an attractive natural grain and a rich, warm patina. The piece is supported by splayed legs joined by transverse stretchers, a hallmark of traditional Qing dynasty style carpentry. Each side is accented with decoratively carved cloud-form or ruyi-style spandrels beneath the seat frame, providing both structural stability and an elegant aesthetic.
