This highly decorative Chinese Export rosewood tilt-top table features an intricately designed circular top set with seven polychrome cloisonné enamel panels. The large central medallion depicts a phoenix and a dragon amidst stylized waves, clouds, and blooming peonies, surrounded by six outer fan-shaped panels illustrating traditional auspicious animals, cranes, and floral landscapes against a turquoise-blue ground. The dividing rosewood segments, borders, and apron are elaborately inlaid with shimmering mother-of-pearl depicting scrolling gourds, vines, butterflies, and vases.

The top is supported on a deeply carved, dark-finished pedestal column featuring high-relief prunus blossoms, birds, and organic branches, all accented with further mother-of-pearl inlay. The column terminates in a tripod base with heavily carved mythical beast-mask feet, resting beneath a pierced and carved openwork floral apron.
