This charming Chinese porcelain vase is decorated in the vibrant Famille Rose (Fencai) palette, featuring the popular "Hundred Antiques" (Bogu) motif. The exterior is densely populated with finely enameled "scholar's objects," including archaic-style vases filled with feathers and coral, incense burners, scrolls, and auspicious floral arrangements, all symbolizing high culture, wealth, and status.

The vase features a flared rim and a bulbous body, accented by yellow-ground decorative borders at the neck and base. The base bears a six-character iron-red seal mark in seal script (Zhuanshu) for the Qianlong Period (1736–1795). While marked for the 18th century, the potting style, enamel texture, and execution are characteristic of the high-quality decorative wares produced during the Republic Period (1912–1949).

Condition Report

  • Repairs: There is a visible historic repair on the interior and exterior of the rim (see photos), likely a resin-based fill for a chip or hairline crack.

  • Surface: The glaze exhibits a natural "orange peel" texture consistent with its age, with minor surface wear and small production pits common in porcelain of this period.

  • Markings: A partial paper label/adhesive residue is present on the base near the seal mark.

  • Dimensions: H:4in W:3in
