Chinese watercolor and ink painting depicting blooming pink lotus flowers rising above broad leaves along a pond's edge. Executed in a traditional style with elegant brushwork and soft coloration, the composition is enhanced by vertical calligraphy and artist's seal marks. Accompanied by a Japanese collection certificate and period Japanese newspaper clipping. The certificate identifies the work as a lotus-themed painting and references Qi Baishi (齐白石, 1864–1957), one of China's most celebrated modern artists.
