Kinetic Op Art multiple titled Chromointerference Manipulable created by Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez in 1989. The work consists of layered color structures that shift visually as the viewer moves, producing changing chromatic effects characteristic of Cruz-Diez’s celebrated exploration of optical perception and color theory. A leading figure in kinetic and optical art, Cruz-Diez developed works that transform color into an autonomous, dynamic event rather than a fixed element of composition. This example features the artist’s distinctive chromatic interference grid mounted in a metal housing and is signed by the artist on the label verso. The piece is accompanied by its original informational booklet describing the Chromointerference series.
