An exceptional figural mantel clock executed in the grand neoclassical tradition, featuring a dynamic composition of a seated classical lady riding in a chariot drawn by two spirited horses. The entire scene is finely cast in gilt bronze with contrasting darker patinated elements, all mounted atop a richly colored lapis lazuli base.

The central figure is depicted in flowing classical drapery, holding reins as she guides the chariot forward, conveying motion and narrative energy. The horses are sculpted with expressive detail, their musculature and movement captured with precision. Surrounding the scene are additional decorative elements including foliage, ornamental mounts, and classical motifs that enhance the storytelling quality of the piece.

The clock dial is set into the front of the lapis base, framed by an ornate gilt bezel. The dial features Arabic numerals and decorative hands, offering a refined contrast against the deep blue stone. The lapis lazuli base itself displays natural speckling and tonal variation, adding depth and richness to the composition while grounding the elaborate upper sculpture.

The base is supported by gilt bronze feet and adorned with applied decorative mounts, completing the piece with balance and stability. The combination of sculptural artistry, luxurious materials, and classical subject matter makes this clock a striking focal point for formal interiors or curated collections.
