Description:
Oil on canvas tropical landscape by Félix Ramos (Cuba, 1919–1993) depicting a sunlit hillside with a prominent royal palm in the foreground overlooking a grove of palms and distant mountains beneath a cloud-filled sky. The composition captures the lush character of the Cuban countryside, rendered in vibrant greens and warm earth tones contrasted with soft atmospheric blues in the distant hills.
Ramos was a Cuban landscape painter known for his depictions of tropical scenery and flowering trees, particularly Poinciana trees associated with the Miami and Caribbean landscape.
Signed “Felix Ramos” lower left. Presented in a wood frame with linen liner.
