Composition and Technique

The artwork mimics the intricate layering of a multi-media , showing a combination of fine linear detailing reminiscent of drypoint etching alongside vibrant pools of color characteristic of chromolithography. Precise, fine cross-hatching builds deep shadow and dimension against flat, ethereal washes of space-age blues, golds, and cosmic tones. Deeply embossed structural lines are present within the paper surface, imitating the high-pressure plate elements characteristic of the original portfolio releases published in Paris.

Condition

The piece is presented on heavy, textured wove paper. The sheet shows uniform light age-toning and mild handling wear along the margins. The image surface remains clean with excellent color saturation and strong definition in the fine line work. The reverse shows minor evidence of prior hinging tape and faint surface discoloration.
