This large-scale expressionist Judaica painting by Israeli artist Haim Sherrf depicts a white peace dove soaring above the ancient walls of Jerusalem bathed in deep blue and turquoise hues. Features heavy impasto texture, dynamic impasto brushwork, and a radiant full moon in the upper left corner. Signed "Haim Sherrf '07" in gold script in the lower right corner, with an additional original ink sketch on the verso canvas. Housed in an ornate antique gold leaf frame with a beaded inner edge.
