A pair of contemporary Egyptian papyrus paintings hand-painted in vibrant gouache and ink with bright gold accents. The larger painting depicts the winged goddess Ma'at kneeling in homage before the seated goddess Isis, who holds a sceptre and wears her signature headdress featuring the sun disk and cow horns, surrounded by vertical registers of colorful hieroglyphs. The smaller painting depicts the traditional iconography of the goddess Isis nursing the infant Horus (Isis Lactans). Both pieces are executed on handmade papyrus paper, featuring naturally uneven, frayed borders.
