Description:
Color engraving on woven Japon paper by Salvador Dalí (Spanish, 1904–1989), titled "Erato (Deesse de la Poesie Lyrique)" [Erato, Goddess of Lyric Poetry]. Created in 1971 as part of The Nine Muses series, the work depicts Erato, the Greek muse associated with lyric and love poetry, rendered in Dalí's distinctive surrealist style. Hand signed and numbered, this impression is from a limited edition of 95 printed on Japon nacré paper. Accompanied by certificates of authenticity and related documentation. The work is presented in an ornate gilt frame with matting.
