Openwork filigree ring set with a large oval faceted red stone in four prongs, framed by twisted-wire scrolls and applied beads, with a split rope-twist shoulder design. Silver-tone metal. Inside of band stamped "875" with a star device in an oval cartouche, beside a second oval stamp with Cyrillic-style letters. Light scratches visible on the upper facets of the stone. Shown in a blue velvet box whose lining is printed "HMH GOLD OVER STERLING SILVER MEDAL".
