This lot features three framed Life magazine covers illustrated by Norman Rockwell. The collection includes "The Hero-Worshiper" (February 1922) from the Boy Scouts' Number, depicting a sleeping scout with his dog; "When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary—" (June 1918), featuring a young man delivering a graduation speech; and "The Wallflower" (January 1920), showing a young girl sitting alone on a settee during a dance. These works capture Rockwell's early ability to translate universal childhood and adolescent experiences into compelling cover art.
These pieces originate from the former Norman Rockwell Museum of the South collection.
