This is a contemporary oil on canvas depicting a naval engagement between 17th-century style galleons. The work is signed "H. Parker" in the lower left corner. It is presented in a double-frame: an inner ornate gold-toned wood/composite frame with a "crackle" glaze finish and an outer slim black wooden profile.

Construction & Technical Details:

  • Medium: Oil on canvas with visible impasto (textured paint) on the sails and water.

  • Reverse: The canvas is stapled to a modern wooden stretcher.

  • Hardware: It features a modern aluminum French cleat hanging system.

  • Documentation: A Certificate of Authenticity or registration label from "Artistic Fine Art" (AFA) is affixed to the back, alongside a barcode inventory sticker.
