This pairing of traditional Chinese vertical scrolls features expressive ink and wash character portraits of two iconic figures from the Three Kingdoms period: the legendary warrior Guan Yu (Guan Yunchang) holding his Green Dragon Crescent Blade, and the master strategist Zhuge Liang (Zhuge Kongming) clad in a scholar's robes and holding his traditional feather fan. Executed in a dynamic xieyi (freehand) style, the works utilize bold, sweeping brushstrokes, modulated ink tones, and subtle color washes to convey the martial power of Guan Yu and the calm, intellectual composure of Zhuge Liang. Each piece is inscribed with the character's name, signed by the artist, and marked with two red artist seals.
