This modernist mixed media collage on canvas, executed in the style of renowned Harlem Renaissance artist Romare Bearden, depicts a white panther and a snarling black panther atop an urban rooftop set against a stark city skyline silhouette. The composition features cut-paper figurative elements layered over a tiled, spray-speckled background, reflecting Bearden's signature approach to narrative collage and graphic contrast. The work bears a graphite signature reading R. Bearden in the lower right corner. Unframed on stretched canvas.
