James Warren is an American artist born in San Francisco in 1975. Initially trained as a professional photographer at San Francisco State University and the Kudabek Institute of Photography, he later transitioned into painting to exercise greater manual control over his subjects. His work often blends abstract forms with recognizable motifs, such as musical instruments and masks, rendered with expressive brushwork and a muted color palette. Warren's work is held in numerous private and corporate collections, including IBM, Safra Bank, and Microsoft.
