 Original 1897 by Dawson Lawrence. This rare and visually rich broadside was produced for the Knights of the Golden Eagle, a Christian fraternal order founded in 1873.  Printed by Sackett & Wilhelms, this 19th century chromolithograph is filled with symbolic ritual imagery set inside a medieval castle-depicting scenes of moral struggle, valor, and faith.
The composition includes multiple leve3ls of allegorical action, refe3rencin the order's teachings and degrees.  A unique glimpse into late 19th-century American fraternal society, this piece is ideal for collectors of Masonic,Odd Fellows, or Christian chivalric memorabilia
