The expressive landscape scene depicts a solitary thatched-roof rural hut set atop a rolling hillside under a dramatic, turbulent sky rendered with heavy impasto paint application and impasto brushwork. Signed lower right "(El Negro) Humberto Hdez Hdez". Retains an official export stamp on verso from the Consejo Nacional de Patrimonio Cultural del Ministerio de Cultura de Cuba. Unframed canvas.
