This classic lead crystal vase is the Dampierre model, an iconic design created by Marc Lalique in 1948. The vessel features a central frieze of plump sparrows nestled among intricate scrolling ivy vines, all rendered in a velvety frosted finish that creates a beautiful contrast against the clear, polished crystal of the neck and foot. The urn-shaped silhouette and timeless avian motif pay homage to the flora and fauna themes favored by René Lalique. This piece carries the etched signature Lalique France on the underside of the base.

Condition Report
The vase is in excellent vintage condition, exhibiting high clarity and a well-preserved frosted surface. There are no chips, cracks, or significant abrasions to the relief-carved sparrows or the rim. Very light surface wear may be present on the underside of the base, consistent with normal display and age.
