Vibrant and lively painting by Haitian artist Leon Hilaire, depicting a colorful village gathering set against a coastal landscape. The composition features a bustling crowd rendered in bold, saturated hues, framed by lush trees, architectural elements, and a shoreline with boats in the distance. Hilaire’s work is characteristic of the Haitian naïve and folk art tradition, emphasizing community, movement, and narrative through flattened perspective and expressive color. This piece is presented framed and is well suited for collectors of Caribbean, Haitian, or folk art.
