A finely detailed 18th or 19th-century hand-colored engraving on paper, titled "Les Pêcheurs à La Ligne" (The Anglers or The Fishermen with their Lines). This work is executed after an original painting by the celebrated French marine and landscape painter Claude Joseph Vernet.

The scene depicts a picturesque Mediterranean coastal landscape. In the foreground, several figures are engaged in fishing activities along a rocky shore, with a man in a small rowing boat nearby. The background features a prominent building with a tower perched on the cliffs and a large sailing vessel anchored offshore.

This print is a classic example of disseminating popular artworks before modern photography and was a common subject for engravers of the period, including Marie Rosalie Bertaud and Yves Le Gouaz. It is often found as a companion piece to "Le Choix Du Poisson" (The Choice of Fish).

The engraving is presented within an elegant modern gilt and ebonized wood frame with a light blue inner mat.

Dimensions: 20.5"H × 24.5"L

The print appears to be in good condition commensurate with age, with some age-toning visible in the paper. The frame is in good condition.
