Vintage poster designed by Henry Pearson (American, 1914–2006) for Lincoln Center’s Sixth New York Film Festival, held at Philharmonic Hall, dated September 17–28, 1968. The composition features a striking Op Art–inspired pattern of undulating black lines across a light ground, creating a strong sense of movement and visual vibration, complemented by bold, colorful typography.
This design reflects the late 1960s fascination with optical effects and modern graphic abstraction, aligning with Pearson’s interest in pattern, rhythm, and minimal yet dynamic visual structures.
