Evoking the sun-drenched tranquility of the European coastline, this mid-century lithograph print captures a sweeping view of a bustling Mediterranean port town. The composition leads the eye along a hillside dotted with whitewashed, red-roofed villas, dropping down toward a deep-blue harbor filled with moored sailboats. Lush coastal flora and vibrant pink blooms anchor the foreground, rendered with texturally expressive brushwork that mimics a heavy impasto technique. The palette shifts seamlessly from warm, terracotta tones on the architecture to the cool, calming blues and greens of the sea and surrounding cliffs.

The piece is hand-signed in pencil "La Foret" in the lower right margin, a known pseudonym used by French artist Jean-Marie LaPointe for his commercial landscape and marine editions. It is also titled "Mediterranean Harbor" in pencil in the lower left margin. This print perfectly encapsulates post-war mid-century modern interior style, combining Impressionistic flavor with a serene coastal narrative. It comes housed under glass in a simple, color-coordinated blue-grey wooden frame with an off-white matting border.
