This striking original serigraph, titled "Number 6," is a quintessential example of the Art Deco revival style perfected by the master Romain de Tirtoff, known professionally as Erte. Part of his celebrated "Numbers" suite published in 1976, the work features an elegant, stylized figure integrated into the form of the numeral six, adorned with intricate geometric patterns and a feathered headdress. The piece is executed with the high-contrast precision characteristic of the artist's graphic work.
This particular work is from a rare limited edition of only 75, with this specific print hand-numbered 68/75 in the lower-left margin. It is hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the lower-right. The serigraph is professionally framed with a black and gold-toned molding and includes a certificate of authenticity from The Great Dane Collection.
