This matching pair of porcelain lamps is styled after traditional ginger jars, decorated with hand-painted red-orange floral and bird motifs on a white background. Each lamp includes a removable lid-like finial on top of the jar body and is mounted on carved black wood bases. The hardware includes modern brass-tone lamp fittings and white bulbs, but the jars themselves reflect classic Asian export design, possibly Japanese or Chinese in influence.
