This is a beautifully crafted pair of carved figures representing traditional Chinese immortals or wise men. Each figure is intricately detailed, holding a symbolic object and adorned with flowing robes. The carvings feature a soft, greenish hue typical of soapstone or jade, with natural variations in color and texture adding to their charm. The figures are mounted on highly decorative, hand-carved wooden stands with a dark, polished finish, enhancing their display appeal. The pierced work on the top of each figure suggests an element of craftsmanship that may indicate a spiritual or cultural motif, possibly representing longevity or wisdom.
