Pair of Chinese export porcelain plates decorated in the Famille Rose, or Rose Medallion, style, likely dating to the late 19th to early 20th century. Each plate features densely arranged polychrome decoration with alternating reserves of court figures, birds, flowers, and butterflies surrounded by elaborate green, pink, red, and gilt ornamentation. The matching plates display the richly detailed decoration characteristic of Chinese export wares produced for Western markets.
