This striking pair of French Empire style covered urns is crafted from spirally fluted black marble and accented with rich gilt-bronze (ormolu) mounts. Each urn is topped with a pinecone finial above a swirl-fluted dome lid. The gadrooned body is flanked by sculpted ram head masks supporting draped floral oak-leaf garlands, with seated putti figures perched at the sides. Raised on stepped square marble bases with ornamental gilt-bronze borders.
