The tall pointed formations create a complementary pair, with richly colored crystal interiors contrasting against the pale crystalline margins and dark exterior matrix.

Presented individually on custom black metal stands with square bases. Cathedral geodes with this golden coloration are commonly marketed as citrine; much Brazilian material sold as citrine cathedral geodes is heat-treated amethyst, so without specific provenance it is safest not to represent these examples as naturally occurring untreated citrine.
