Description: Matching pair of Japanese Satsuma earthenware vases, each featuring a traditional scene of bijin (beautiful women) and children in a lush landscape with cherry blossoms and architectural elements. The vases are decorated with intricate "millefiori" style floral borders at the shoulders and bases, heavily accented with raised moriage and gold gilt. The ivory-colored ground shows the fine, characteristic crackle glaze typical of authentic Satsuma ware. The reverse of each vase features a complementary floral or landscape composition. Each base bears a gold square mark with two red characters, likely identifying the specific workshop or artist.

Dimensions: H: 7 in; W: 4 in each
