The inner and outer borders consist of repeating geometric guard bands and a main "Herati" style border with interconnected diamond shapes. Notably, the rug bears a hand-woven signature in the upper corner, typical of high-quality workshop productions from this region. The piece is finished with tied silk fringe at both ends.
