A historically significant, original WWII-era profile portrait of Adolf Hitler executed in white and grey chalk on a dark grey composition board, signed "J. Herrmann" to the lower right. The artwork portrays Hitler in profile view wearing a high-collared uniform coat. Notably, the board is bisected vertically and horizontally by deeply scored lines that intersect directly over a central puncture wound, with an additional heavy scrape tearing through the figure's left eye. The reverse of the panel exhibits vintage tape repairs supporting these structural fractures. According to historical provenance, this piece was retrieved directly from behind Adolf Hitler's desk following the fall of Berlin at the end of World War II, with its dramatic surface damage serving as a powerful, direct artifact of the regime's violent collapse.
