A fine pair of 19th-century Old Paris (Vieux Paris) porcelain urn-form vases, features vibrant pink and cobalt blue glazed ground accented by elaborate gilt decoration. Each vase is centered with an oval reserve containing a finely hand-painted floral bouquet of roses and mixed blossoms, framed by delicate gilded floral swags and scrollwork. The bodies are flanked by pronounced gilt high-swung handles embellished with sculptural applied grape leaves and clusters, leading to a scalloped rim and resting on a raised, parcel-gilt base. The reverse of each vase is decorated with an intricate gilt Neoclassical arabesque motif.
