Royal Doulton ceramic character jug depicting The Jovial Toper, modeled as a seated eighteenth-century gentleman holding a foaming tankard. Executed in hand-painted polychrome glazes with detailed facial features, period attire, and a handle integrated into the figure's back. Marked Royal Doulton England on the underside. A classic example of the firm's highly collectible character jug series.
