Description

This large-scale mixed media work on canvas by the celebrated contemporary Cuban artist Kcho (Alexis Leyva Machado) features a surreal and poetic interpretation of his signature nautical imagery. The composition depicts a central vessel suspended in a vibrant turquoise atmosphere, carried aloft by a large, hatched balloon-like structure. Smaller similar vessels float in the periphery, creating a dreamlike sense of weightlessness and aerial migration. Kcho’s use of expressive line work and drips of white paint against the saturated blue ground emphasizes themes of transition, hope, and the ethereal nature of the journey. This work is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Kcho Estudio, signed and fingerprinted by the artist.
