The work originates from Dalí’s celebrated Les Diners De Gala series, inspired by themes of gastronomy, excess, and surreal transformation. The composition presents an elaborate banquet scene populated by fantastical serving vessels and richly colored culinary imagery, rendered with Dalí’s characteristic dreamlike precision. Included with the lithograph is a separate original engraving titled Spoon on Crutches, a recurring Dalinian symbol representing fragility and support. The lithographic image measures approximately 18.9 by 22.44 inches, while the engraving measures approximately 2.68 by 9.29 inches. The work is hand signed and numbered by the artist and comes from an edition of 395 with EA examples. Authentication is present on the verso by Frank Hunter, and a Certificate of Authenticity is included. This piece represents a significant example of Dalí’s graphic work from the early 1970s.
