A rare and captivating original etching by Pablo Picasso, produced during his prolific "Suite 347" period at Mougins. This work, dated August 16, 1968, exemplifies the artist's masterful use of line to evoke movement and narrative. The composition depicts a surreal circus atmosphere, featuring a nude female rider atop a horse, accompanied by onlookers and a chariot-like figure in the foreground.

The piece displays Picasso's signature "classical-meets-whimsical" style of his later years, blending intricate cross-hatching with bold, fluid contours.

  • Markings: Hand-signed "Picasso" in pencil (lower right); numbered "4/50" in pencil (lower left). Plate-dated "16.8.68 II" (upper right).

  • Dimensions: Frame measures 38" x 32.5".

  • Provenance: This plate is a documented part of the 347 Series, printed by the Crommelynck brothers.
